We laugh but the smile never touches our hearts. We can look you in the eye but the lids quiver at random acts of kindness. Our words are two-edged; what we are saying and what we should be saying. And when we dance, our arms outstretched, directed at the sky, we are supplicating for compassion, for our splendid one be returned to us.
