equations and revelations bombard my mind, I cannot hold the weight. company bequeathed me, a fresh page of hidden words and mysteries. the quill of life writes unexpected verses, full of anathema and exclamations. destiny and fate, a writ the heavens scribe. my heart stands upon a rail, I am not allowed to deviate from the path.
of beauty and fragrance, vanities and sweet palpitations, I partake. the road to agony is predestined. control has been denied me. I am drunk from this elixir, addiction to it will be my undoing. like a moth I am pulled toward the light, my fatal attraction. words tear upon my soul, every letter a stake to my heart. all grows dark, my path a road of spikes.

Uhuru Rattles Karua, Upstages Saitoti
» You Missed This Martha Karua must have seen it coming. Uhuru has mastered the game and the gloves are off. Make no mistake. Jomo Junior is not in the ring to fight but to scare pretenders to the throne before he offloads his rented mouths and walk them into a SAINTLY union.
Poor Martha Karua can try all the gimmicks available in the book but her disguised political tantrums will soon bust out in the open. And who knows, the PNU legal and public face during the trying PEV months may be having an ace up her sleeve just waiting for the opportune time to unleash it. Or does she?
The gatekeepers are not leaving anything to chance and Karua has no trace of royal blood. Even the good Prof George Kiarie Kinuthia will soon rue the folly of truncating his middle names. It is political crunch time and UK is out with all that money can buy. No amount of topological mapping and metric spacing can match the raw tried and tested antics perfected over the years within our borders.
Uhuru was not naive to go in history books as the first opposition chief to abscond duty and support an incumbent. Instead he was alive to the wisdom that true payback is not only handsome but sweet too.
What is more, Uhuru is a safe hand pair of hands for Kenya’s gate keepers. All they need is to consolidate that support now and all the rest will MIRACULOUSLY driven to political nirvana.
Annan ni nani?
You can smell it from afar. UK has unofficially taken the reigns of PNU to the chagrin of Saitoti. When Uhuru dismisses Annan using the WE word, he is simply gloating with the intension of throwing his acquired political weight. Any good student of Kenyan politics will tell you that UK’s latent contempt effectively scuttles Geneva invitation.
Koffi Annan should know better that he is past his relevance sell by date. The owners of Kenya have regained control and he is better advised to enjoy his retirement in peace.Kumekucha

Kenya Airports Authority - Coldtusker vindicated - Again & Again...

It seems the nincompoops (or merely the corrupt) at KAA are at it again.
KAA's CEO is a george muhoho-ho-ho (whose nephew, uhuru kenyatta, is Kenya's Finance Minister & a Deputy Prime Minister) who has extensive political connections. Of course, GM got the job not on merit but thanks to his golfing buddy mwai kibaki (Kenya's current president).
For those unfamilar with uhuru's background... His father was Kenya's first president & an internationally infamous land-grabber. jomo kenyatta (real name kamau aka 'crooked' wa ngengi) never saw a piece of land he didn't like. For free or at a huge discount to market value!
Anyway, so GM heads KAA which runs jomo kenyatta int'l airport (crooked loved naming public projects after himself) in Nairobi. JKIA was built in the 1970s & has seen little improvement since. It is a small, stuffy, congested & lousy airport for a city the size/status of Nairobi.
It is amazing that Kenya Airways has managed to grow despite JKIA being its hub. I find using JKIA to be torture.
So... it seems that a 'politically connected' airline (OneJetOne) will be allocated the old Embakasi Airport in exchange for (fill in the blank). As an FYI, OneJetOne's parent (AirSouthAsia) does not have permission to fly out of it's home base in Sri Lanka.
Whereas JKIA faces immense challenges especially as regards congestion, there have been half-hearted attempts to increase the size of the airport. Nothing major has been done so far. A prior plan was rife with problems & rejected by the airlines. It seems that some officials in KAA had more than a passing fiduciary interest.
It seems OneJetOne was given preferential treatment in this deal. Instead of advertising to all & sundry about the possibilities of using the old airport, there was a hush-hush element to the newspaper advert & subsequent lease deal.
Using the past as history, I would not be surprised to learn that georgie muhohohoho & cronies were getting a slice of the action!
And to make matters even worse, one of the directors of OneJetOne is a former PS (gerrishon ikiara) in charge of airlines & airports. And by dint of his government position, he was on Kenya Airways' board of directors & privy to KQ's future plans!
And on a smaller scale, there is the endemic corruption regarding parking at JKIA. KAA does not properly maintain parking markings at JKIA which means police officers wait to pounce on innocent motorists!
The Short-Term Parking at JKIA is inadequate & Long-Term Parking is woefully inadequate. The LTP is dark & deserted... you could be killed & no-one would find your body for day!
